and Conditions of Use
Chapter
1: General Provisions
Article
1 (Purpose)
These
Terms and Conditions aim to stipulate the rights, obligations and
responsibilities of the site and users with regard to the Internet-related
services (hereinafter referred to as the “services”) provided by the website
(hereinafter referred to as the “Site”) operated by Yuhan Chemical (hereinafter
referred to as the “Company”).
Article
2 (Definitions)
The
definitions of terms used in these Terms and Conditions are as follows.
(1) The
"Site” refers to a virtual business site or a website operated by the
Company to enable transactions of goods or services using computers and other
information and communication equipment in order to provide goods or services
to users, and it is also used to refer to the business operator that operates
the www.yuhanchem.co.kr website.
(2) The
“User” refers to an individual/entity that accesses the Site and receives
services provided by the Site in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Article
3 (Effect and Change of Terms and Conditions)
(1) These
Terms and Conditions shall take effect when they are announced to users through
a notice on the initial service screen of the Site.
(2) The
Site posts the contents of these Terms and Conditions, Company name, business
location, business registration number, and contact information (telephone,
fax, e-mail address, etc.) on the initial service screen of the Site so that
users can be aware of them.
(3) The
Site may change these Terms and Conditions to the extent that they do not
violate relevant laws such as the Act on the Regulation of Terms and
Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Commerce, the Electronic Signature
Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization
and Information Protection, the Act on Door-to-Door Sales, etc., and the
Consumer Protection Act. In this case, the date of revision, reason for
revision, and the changed contents shall be specified and announced on the
initial service screen along with the current Terms and Conditions from 7 days
prior to the revision date to the day before the revision date.
(4) Pursuant
to Paragraph 3, the changed Terms and Conditions will take effect in the same
manner as Paragraph 1.
Article
4 (Rules Other than Terms and Conditions)
Matters
that are not specified in these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by
relevant laws and regulations or commercial practices.
Chapter
2 Service Use
Article
5 (Service Use)
(1) If
an individual wishes to use the Site's services, the individual shall provide
personal information requested by the Site.
(2) The
Site does not accept any application for use of services that falls under any
of the following items:
① In the case of using someone else’s
name for your application;
② When you do not apply under your
real name;
③ When the service use contract
application form contains false information;
④ When your application is made for
the purpose of disrupting social well-being, order, or public morals; or
⑤ When it is difficult to approve use
due to other reasons attributable to the applicant.
Article
6 (Restrictions on Service Use)
(1) In
principle, use of the Site's services is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,
unless there is a complex problem with the Site's business or technology.
(2) The
Site may temporarily suspend the provision of services in the event of regular
inspection, repair, replacement, breakdown, or interruption of the information
and communication system.
(3) The
services provided by the Site are basically free. However, information that is
separately stated as paid information can be used only after paying the fee
specified in the information.
(4) Copyright
and other intellectual property rights for works provided by the Site belong to
the Site.
(5) Users
shall not use the information obtained from the Site for commercial purposes by
copying, transmitting, publishing, distributing, broadcasting or otherwise
without prior consent of the Site or allow any third party to use it.
(6) The
Site shall not be responsible for any damages incurred by users in connection
with the use of free services.
Chapter
3 Obligations
Article
7 (Obligations)
(1) The
Site has an obligation to provide continuous and stable services in accordance
with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
(2) The
Site processes opinions raised by users through appropriate procedures, and if
processing takes a certain period of time, the Site shall inform the user of
the reason for the delay and processing schedule.
(3) The
Site strictly maintains the security of user information, uses it only for the
purpose of reporting and answering investigation agencies regarding corrupt acts,
and does not transfer user information to other organizations or third parties
for any other purpose.
(4) Users
shall comply with these Terms and Conditions and the relevant laws and
regulations.
(5) Users
shall not engage in the following acts:
① Registration of false information in
the case of application for postings or requesting change of position;
② Transmitting or posting information
(computer programs, etc.) other than those specified by the Site;
③ Infringement of intellectual
property rights, such as copyrights of the Site or third parties;
④ Actions that damage the reputation
of the Site or third parties or interfere with business thereof;
⑤ Disclosing or posting obscene or
violent messages, videos, voice clips, or other information that is against
public order and morals; and
⑥ If any of the following applies, the
relevant user cannot receive services provided by the Site:
- In the
event of behaviors against public order and morals;
- In the case of involvement in
criminal activity;
- When planning or executing service
use for harming national or public interest;
- When damaging the reputation of
others or causing disadvantage to others;
- In the event of interfering with
sound use, such as causing disruption to the Service; or
- In the event of violation of
relevant laws or terms of use established by the Site.
Chapter
4 General Matters
Article
8 (User Posting Management)
The
Site administrator may delete content posted or registered by a user without
prior notice if it is determined that the content falls under any of the
following:
① If the content damages the reputation
of an individual or organization by slandering others or attacking others scurrilously;
② If the content violates public order
and morals;
③ If the content is recognized as having
the nature of a criminal act;
④ If the content infringes on other people’s
copyrights or other rights; or
⑤ If the content violates relevant
laws or regulations established by the Site.
Article
9 (Disclaimer)
(1) If
the Site is unable to provide services due to a natural disaster or other force
majeure, the Site shall be exempt from liability for service provision.
(2) The
Site shall not be responsible for any disruption in service use due to reasons
attributable to users.
(3) The
Site shall not be responsible for the user's loss of expected profits on
account of using the services or for any damage caused by data obtained through
the services.
(4) The
Site shall not be responsible for the reliability or accuracy of information,
data, or facts posted by users with regard the services provided the Site.
(5) The
Site shall not be liable for any damage caused by the user's intentional misuse
or negligence in connection with the use of the services.
Article
10 (Notification to Users)
(1) In
the event that the Site notifies any member, it may do so using the e-mail
address submitted to the Site when the member applied for service use.
(2) In
the case of notification to unspecified multiple members, the Site may
substitute individual notification by posting the notice on the Site bulletin
board for more than one week.
Article
11 (Court of Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
The
court of jurisdiction for lawsuits related to disputes that arise between the
Site and users in relation to use of the services provided by the Site shall be
the court of the Republic of Korea, which has jurisdiction under the Civil
Procedure Act, and the governing law shall be Korean law.
(Supplementary
Provisions) These Terms and Conditions shall be effective from September 30,
2011.
Consent
Form for the Use and Collection of Personal Information
Yuhan
Chemical Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) values the personal
information of reporters and complies with the “Personal Information Protection
Act.” In order to provide optimal services to reporters, we would like to
collect and use your personal information as follows.
■ Purpose
of the Collection and Use of Personal Information
- Reporting
of corrupt acts and responding to reports, etc.
■ Items
of Personal Information Collected
- Required
items: Name, phone number, date of birth, gender, email address, password, IP
address, access log, access date and time
■ Retention
and Use Period of Personal Information
- The
personal information collected from you will be retained and used from the time
you register a report, and if you withdraw your consent to the collection and
use of personal information or if the purpose of use has been achieved, the
personal information will be destroyed without any delay.
(However,
if there are special provisions in the law or it is unavoidable to comply with
legal obligations, the personal information will be retained for a certain
period of time)

Management
In
order to perform the services, the Company entrusts the services to an external
professional company as follows.
